Doug's Department starts September 21. This will be a regular Wednesday evening study and discussion group, meeting at 7:00 pm. (The exception will be Commissions Night each month on the Wednesday evening before Monthly Meeting.) I will lead this group and it will vary in its focus. Sometimes we will do Bible study. Other times we will look at educational videos or good films for discussion. Sometimes we will focus on social issues. Other times we will discuss Quaker faith and practice. The group's thematic focus will sometimes be just for one session, other times for multiple sessions. Announcements of what's coming up will be in future bulletins and newsletters. You don't need to be a regular to attend. Come when you can. In recent months, I have heard people express a need for social issues programs, Bible study, Quakerism classes, and other opportunities to learn and discuss. This group will combine these different concerns in the months ahead. I look forward to exploring with you.
